Legislators, service providers, advocates and volunteers know that creating movements for social action is hard work. When we work for systemic change that will help us to better serve one another—to address suffering in ways that both heal existing pain and prevent future hardship for our neighbors—we discover how important it is to stay true to the values that motivate us.
